Experience Matters

Having conducted close to a hundred trials and handled thousands of cases as a prosecutor and a defense attorney, Mr. Lee's extensive experience is a true asset to the firm. John Lee partnered with Keith Fuicelli to form Fuicelli & Lee, P.C. after spending close to a decade working as a prosecutor. Mr. Lee decided to use his experience and extensive knowledge of the criminal justice system to help individuals accused of a crime.

Mr. Lee spent approximately seven years in the Jefferson County District Attorney's office quickly rising through the ranks and prosecuting the most serious cases including First Degree Murder. He was then selected to join an elite group of prosecutors at the Attorney General's office. There, John handled complex criminal matters including organized crime, racketeering fraud, tax evasion and white-collar crimes. Mr. Lee's extensive prosecutorial experience includes misdemeanor matters like driving under the influence and assault through the most serious of cases.

Since forming Fuicelli & Lee, PC Mr. Lee has handled hundreds of cases ranging from DUI to Homicide. His experience and credibility with both prosecutors and judges has helped him achieve outstanding results for his clients. Whether the case resulted in a favorable plea bargain, litigation of constitutional violations, or trial, John uses the skills he learned from his years of experience in criminal law to get results for his clients.

Education

Mr. Lee received his law degree from The University of Colorado-Boulder in 1998, and a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Colorado-Denver

Teaching Positions

While in law school, John Lee began teaching perspective law students how to take the Law School Admissions test (LSAT). After passing the bar, Mr. Lee's talents in the courtroom were quickly recognized and the Colorado District Attorney's Counsel chose John Lee to instruct Colorado's newest prosecutors in its Trial Techniques course. Mr Lee lectured on subjects including DUI, evidence, and trial preparation. Mr. Lee also taught courses on a national level in subjects including trial advocacy and cross examination skills at the National College of District Attorneys located in South Carolina. In addition to these teaching honors, Mr. Lee has trained recruits at several police academies including:

• The Jefferson County Sheriff's Academy

• Red Rocks Community College Law Enforcement Academy

• The Colorado State Patrol Academy

Bar Admissions & Memberships

Mr Lee is admitted to the practice of law in all state and federal courts in Colorado

John is a member of the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar and the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association

Mr. Lee is certified in the administration of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests for DUI investigation by the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration.
